Sri Petaling is a town located at the southern part of Kuala Lumpur. It's a 10 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur city center. There are a few highways connecting other parts of Kuala Lumpur like Subang Jaya, Cheras and Sungai Besi to Sri Petaling.
The easiest way to get there is through the PLUS highway southbound(Seremban Highway). From the other side of state, if you are traveling from Subang Jaya and the Petaling Jaya, you can use the KESAS highway. There are ample of taxis and buses that ferries to and fro Sri Petaling. There is also an LRT (Light Railway Transit) service that stops at Seri Petaling and Bukit Jalil which is the final station southbound.
This township was upgraded to accommodate the the planned 1998 Commonwealth Games. Bukit Jalil was the main Stadium where the opening and closing ceremonies being held and will also house the athletes who came to compete in the major sports event. Today, the stadium still hosts major sports events in Malaysia, expo, cultural shows and international live acts.
The amenities in Sri Petaling are abundant, especially food. There are hawker centers mamak stall mushrooming around the township day and night, 24 hours a day.
